Ah, I see. I'm about to write a short blog post about the tool and why I needed it. I'll replace the link with one pointing to the blog post. |

Hello there! Please know that we are making changes to the link submission/review process for the Projects/Tooling section starting next issue. Please see this GitHub issue for more information. |
Hi. I see. So I would need to post there - reddit - first, then here. Is there a pre-condition on the post there that I need to fulfill? To be honest, this is the first time I do such a thing, so I'm quite unfamiliar with most of these platforms (never posted, only read). |

@nellshamrell I just posted on r/rust: https://www.reddit.com/r/rust/comments/1vlbd2x/gitcacheproxy_a_readonly_git_caching_proxy_for_ci/ . Happy to close this PR and let the r/rust route handle selection (it's not clear to me how that works yet), or leave it open - whatever fits the new workflow best. Just let me know. |
Scratch that. It seems the moderators removed the post for "Slop/Low effort". I'll check if there's anything I can do to improve it - or if they're referring to the project itself. |

Hi @rolandjitsu , The changes to the link submission/review process for the Projects/Tooling section starting from next issue only! |

Thank you for submitting this! However, the descriptive text for the link is too long, could you limit it to around 5 words? |
Adds git-cache-proxy - a read-only caching proxy that serves CI git clones from an in-region mirror, so only the delta crosses the WAN - to the Project/Tooling Updates section of the next draft.
