[SYSTEM: ONLINE] • Algorithmic sequencing, video synthesis, and the rhythm of the silicium.
Special thanks to Brian Eno, Manuel Göttsching - Ashra, Laurie Spiegel, William Gibson, Von Neumann, Robert Fripp and Thomas Ray.
👁️ The Vision
This repository is an experimental playground where hardware architecture, algorithmic composition, and artificial life intersect. It serves as an audiovisual laboratory to explore the organic nature of code.
Here, the geometric perfection of CMOS layouts and device physics is translated into sonic and visual landscapes. Heavy inspiration is drawn from retro-futuristic aesthetics, the Berlin School of electronic music (Ashra, Tangerine Dream), and the consensual hallucination experienced daily by billions of legitimate operators.
🎛️ Laboratory Sectors
The workspace is divided into distinct generative modules:
/audio_synthesis
💠️tidal_cycles/: Haskell-based pattern generation. Scripts for polyrhythmic sequencing, generative drum loops, and melodic arpegios.
💠️vcv_rack/: Modular synthesis patches. Explorations in voltage-controlled ambient textures and generative modular ecosystems.
/video_synth
❇️hydra/: Live-coded video synthesis. Feedback loops, oscillator math, and WebGL shader manipulations reacting in real-time to the sonic environment.
/silicium_rhythms (In Development)
👾️Scripts and render setups dedicated to transforming 2D .gds and VLSI layout data into 3D reactive visualizations.
👾️The goal: To make the transistor-level hardware physically pulse and morph to the beat of the algorithmic sequences, effectively giving rhythm to the silicon.
🧬 Execution & Artificial Life
Most of the code here is not meant to be simply "compiled and run." It is meant to be performed.
The files serve as starting seeds for live coding sessions. Through iterative modification during execution, the algorithms evolve, mimicking artificial life processes where the boundaries between the programmer, the machine, and the output blur.

“Cyberspace. A consensual hallucination experienced daily by
billions of legitimate operators, in every nation, by children being
taught mathematical concepts... A graphic representation of data
abstracted from banks of every computer in the human system. Unthinkable
complexity. Lines of light ranged in the nonspace of the mind, clusters
and constellations of data. Like city lights, receding...”
