This repo contains Forth measurement/control programs developed for high-frequency (HF/RF) and laser spectroscopy experiments. The code targets vintage hardware:
- Z80 microprocessor under CP/M 2.2/3.0
- PC/DOS systems with a Z80 subsystem
- Originally ported/adapted from DEC PDP-8 programs (i.e. C08/C09)
These are specialized data acquisition and control programs for precision spectroscopy work at the Institute for Applied Physics, University of Bonn.
The repository preserves historical scientific software that interfaced with custom lab hardware (lasers, RF sources, detectors, etc.) for experiments like fluorescence spectroscopy and atomic/molecular beam studies.
