Most Flutter developers will tell you they don't just build apps, they craft experiences. I'll tell you something more useful: I build the parts that fall over at 2am, then I'm the one who gets paged to fix them.
Two years in, and the project list reads a little unhinged for a "mobile developer": an AI dating app, a three-app booking ecosystem, a multiplayer game with a server I wrote from scratch, and a chat app that works with no internet at all. Regular CRUD screens were never going to hold my attention for long.
What actually pays the bills: Socket.IO and WebSockets for anything that needs to happen now, Firebase and Supabase for anything that needs to remember, Riverpod and BLoC for state that refuses to be a guessing game. And when Flutter itself wasn't the interesting problem anymore, I went and built a Bluetooth mesh network in Kotlin, because apparently "no signal" is a fun constraint to work around on purpose.
If a feature in your app made your last developer go quiet in standup, that's usually the one I'd ask to start with.
