Why does nfs create one file but actually generate four files?

My NFS server is a Synology NAS(DS 920+)
When creating files (such as .docx or .txt files) in the shared

folder in windows, four files are automatically created.
I have tried changing the version of NFS to 4.1, 4.0, and 3.0, but the issue persists.

This happens when the NFS client is not launched with proper permissions for some reason. Unfortunately some programs (notably Explorer) try 3-4 times to create a file when the permissions are not properly set up.

If you are launching NFS from the command line make sure to specify -ouid=-1,gid=-1.
