@jandrieu had this question a couple of times in the review of the threat model. The question comes about because in the protocol object the examples given currently list "vcapi" as the protocol for selecting the "VC API"/"VCALM", so when referencing this mechanism in the threat model I chose to be consistent in terms of the selection made from the protocol object rather than using "VCALM".
