In the manual at offset-x,
also mention how one might have more than one offset for the same map,
but at the same time just using a single cache.
E.g.,
The Nordsdale Cadastral map is wavy due to surveyor drug use.
That's why I have a couple different offsets stored, selectable from the Viking menus, but all sharing a single cache. This can be accomplished in your maps.xml by setting....
In fact have an offset slider, so the user can adjust each map offset perfectly, no matter when just casually viewing, or when wanting to make it a permanent preference for that layer.
That way they don't need trial and error (try again with 8 meters, looks better, now try 9) but can do it also with sliders. And if when we pan somewhere else, we can adjust the sliders again.
