No changelogs on F-Droid

There are no changelogs on F-Droid, but there are on IzzyOnDroid. Why?

I'm not sure, but it may be related to the following:

Prior to commit 0fc6ed8, each release had one flavor and a Fastlane changelog file that corresponded to the release version code. That commit introduced standard and legacy flavors, with the version code of the latter equal to the base version code and the version code of the former equal to the base version code + 10000. The Fastlane changelog files, however, still correspond to the base version code, and so no longer correspond to the standard flavor version code.

Both F-Droid and IzzyOnDroid distribute the standard flavor. I suspect that F-Droid is looking for a Fastlane changelog file that corresponds to the standard flavor version code and not finding it, and that IzzyOnDroid is just using the Fastlane changelog file that corresponds to the base version code. I'm pinging @IzzySoft to see if he can confirm the above and / or advise on the proper way to configure changelogs for a situation like this.

We use that to find the changelogs, which is why they show up correctly in our repo. And yes, we carry the standard flavor.

You can ask them, they do have the same setting (though it has other effects there as with our "binary repo"). You could also use symbolic links I guess, like ln -s 119.txt 10119.txt, though that might "bloat" the changelog dir a bit.

Thanks! I may also revisit the decision to use different version codes for the different flavors - thinking about now, I'm not sure whether there's really any point in doing so.

When you do, remember you can never decrease versionCode – so you'd need to continue with the "higher ones" from the standard flavor then.

Yes, that's what I would do if I go that route.

Great! Just give us a ping then when you start having the changelogs using the higher numbers, so we remove that adjustment (VercodeOperation) at our end to have them match again.
