What problem would you like to solve? Please describe:
As a team member of a multi-team goalert deployment, I'd like to be able to view only alerts sent to a selected escalation policy. While the person who is currently assigned the alert can see the alerts w/out clicking on the "view all services" filter, other members of the team wanting to help with "alert storms" have a hard time finding the alerts that are actively paging the current on-call.
Today when I want to assist the current on-call person, I have to navigate to alerts?allServices=1 and then filter through ALL alerts for all services. This is problematic for two reasons in my use case. 1. not all alerts are pagable, we use goalert for a "low alert dashboard" for context clues when a "high/pagable" alert comes through. 2. not all services are my team's responsibility, other teams have a separate escalation policy that their services are assigned to.
Describe the solution you'd like:
It would be great to have in the alert filter dialogue something that says:
"Include Services for Escalation Policy:" drop-down-here
This would allow me to select my "Team A Pagable Alerts" policy when helping with the alert storm.
Describe alternatives you've considered:
Others have suggested an RFE for workgroup separation or other RBAC with Organizations. This would solve case 2 above, but would not solve for "non-pagable services".
