There have been important fixes for the USB mass-storage support in 2021:
#211
It's possible, that some USB flash drives do not work with Circle, but
most should work with this fix. Unfortunately I cannot test all USB
flash drives, which are out there.

As I wrote: Put this option into the first line of cmdline.txt on the SD
card. If BMC64 does not support this, do it manually. This is all, you
can do. This option is checked by Circle itself, when the USB host
controller driver is started. This should not require BMC64 support.

Hello,
This concerns the circle lib used in BMC64, which according to my information is 7 years old.
I have tried several USB sticks. Most of them are sticks with 8GB and FAT32.
My experience is that about half of them are recognized and the rest is not recognized in BMC64.
I have not found any specific reason for this.
I would appreciate learning what to look for when purchasing a USB stick for his purpose.
A detailed example of two similar sticks, one working, one not working can be found here:

Best regards
HK
