Installing BASH

DO you have instructions on how to install BASH on my Windows PC and get it working with VSC/Code4i.

I have a version of bash install on IBMi.
When I run "which bash", I get the response "/usr/bin/bash" returned.
Am I good to continue with this value or do I need to make changes and if so, what changes?

@a4ginatl You should run ls -la /usr/bin/bash and verify it points to /QOpenSys/pkgs/bin/bash. Here is the output on my server:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 qsys 0 46 Apr  3 15:39 /usr/bin/bash -> /QOpenSys/pkgs/bin/bash*

If you don't get this result, your bash could be from the Perzl AIX tools we used to install and run on IBM i, before IBM created the open source tools specifically for the i.

The current version of bash is

bash --version

My system checks out correctly.

I restarted VSC and Code4i and I still get this message

I followed the details in the document displayed and found that we need to install the 2 PTF's. I have requested them but it may take some time before these are installed. Is it possible to use the version 2 of the debugger until the PTF's are installed?

No, unless you use Code for IBM i < 2.16.
