Block commenting for html.erb files

How can I extend block commenting feature for an erb file with HTML in it like

<% @posts.each do |post| %>
  <div id="posts" class="min-w-full">
    <div id="<%= dom_id post %>">
      <div class="flex justify-between">
        <p class="my-5">
          <strong class="block font-medium mb-1">

to

<% <<-COMMENT %>

By looking at your example, I am assuming that block comments starts with <% <<-COMMENT %> and ends with <% COMMENT %>. Then you could just add the following:

require('Comment.ft').set('eruby', { '{line_comment}', '<% <<-COMMENT %>%s<% COMMENT %>' })

Read :h comment.ft

Apologies for not being clear. Unfortunately, it has to be exactly like this:

<% <<-COMMENT %>
... some code ...
<%      
COMMENT
%>

1. <% <<-COMMENT %> has to be on its line.
2. The ending part has to start on a new line and has to be on 3 separate lines.

I have tried:

ft.set('eruby', { '{line_comment}', "<% <<-COMMENT %>\n%s\n<%\nCOMMENT\n%>" })

and

ft.set('eruby',
  {
    '{line_comment}',
    [[<% <<-COMMENT %>
    %s
    <%
    COMMENT
    %>]]
  }
)

Unfortunately, no. Adding new line after LHS and before RHS of block comments is not supported by default. Although this is somewhat similar to neorg block comments, and I had a working solution to support this use case here #129 (comment)
