Special characters in input

Hello,
I need help with something basic, sorry for asking if it was written somewhere but I got confused with the keycodes etc...
So I am using "simulate input" to type text and there are special characters such as dots and @ that are not working?
How do I make it work?

I am not at home, but atleast for dot you have two possible ways which should in my understanding, also work with @.

[t(".")]
[k(uni('.'),c)]

The second one could be split into a press and a release to hold it down if needed.
