The version 2 allows you to customize your encryption methods, doesn't break jest, and doesn't leak the shape of the object. Part of this is seeing your needs, part is that the Dexie API now allows it :)

Thanks for your work.
Please implement support for async encrypt/decrypt methods so that we can also use Web Crypto Api. And fix the readme. It still says middleware().then() although middleware returns undefined.
