Yeah this is a common thing we are seeing with these older devices and reverse proxies/https. This is also documented here in case it helps: |

Hi all,
Just received a Frameo 102K (Android 6.0.1) and spun up ImmichFrame in a rootless podman container. I have a reverse proxy which also handles HTTPS and certificate renewals through Let's Encrypt. Connecting to my ImmichFrame subdomain worked flawlessly through a browser on my PC and on my phone.
However, it would simply refuse to open in ImmichFrame. I tried Fully Kiosk Browser and came into the same problem. However, Fully Kiosk gave me a hint because of a toast notification about an SSL error. That app has a setting to ignore SSL errors, sure enough it worked.
I wanted to share the solution to my problem with the community. I installed the Let's Encrypt self-signed ISRG Root X1 certificate (.pem) on the Frameo as root. First, I installed Magisk and Discreet Launcher on the device as discussed in this GitHub post. That then allowed me to follow the instructions on this Medium tutorial to install the root certificate in the system trust store.
After that, ImmichFrame worked right away on the Frameo.
Hope this helps someone!
