APP doesn't initialize - unresponsive

After last update the APP is stuck in "Initializing..." status.

Also "Egress IP for test traffic" doesn't assume any IP.

The links in the APP don't work, the APP is stuck in the Homepage and the only thing we are able to do is scroll through it.

In terminal, the only message continuously prompting is "[DATE/TIME] GET /api/selfimprove/ledger" .

Took a look and reproduced this on macOS against current main (b192577) — happy to pick it up.

Root cause: a duplicate variable declaration in the main inline <script> of docs/index.html throws SyntaxError: Identifier 'response' has already been declared at parse time, so the entire app script never executes. That's why the UI is stuck on "Initializing…", every link/button is dead (no handlers wired), and only the already-registered GET /api/selfimprove/ledger poller keeps firing. The server itself is healthy (/api/health returns ok:true).

The collision is in _safeLLMCallOnce: a leftover pre-refactor const response = await fetch(endpoint, …) block coexists with the newer let response; added when the function was split into local-proxy and cloud branches (#79). Both are in the same function scope.

Fix incoming as a small PR — removing the dead pre-refactor block — with a regression test that fails on current main (asserts every classic inline script parses). Will keep it macOS-verified.
