file watcher-based snapshot detection only works when the snapshot service is running on the same machine as the aggregator producing the snapshots #3
This is due to limitations with inotify on NFS.
If the snapshot service is running on a different machine than the aggregator producing the snapshots, the polling detection task needs to be used.
