How can I add a new font to the traineddata?

Hi folks. I've been toying around with tesseract and I've found it to be quite useful, but now I need to use it to recognize a specific type of font (credit card type font, like OCR-A and OCR-B) with which the aviable traineddata file is not precise at all. I understand you can add fonts to the traineddata file or retrain the model but I wouldn't even know where to begin. Thanks
