Getting example Data

Hello,

I am currently working with the HCP pipelines. I would like to test it on example data. However, the link provided in the "Installation and Usage Instructions" in not available anymore.

It seems that the migration from db.humanconnectome.org to https://balsa.wustl.edu/ disable access to the example data. Moreover, so far no unprocessed data for HCP is available on the balsa database.

I would like to know if it possible to have access to example data and/or access to the unprocessed data of HCP.

Hi Guillaume, As we replied on the HCP-Users list, unprocessed data for all HCP-YA released subjects is available on BALSA. The unprocessed data packages can be accessed/queued by toggling the "Recommended" column at the right of the Selected Imaging Packages section to "All" or "N". I believe we use subject 100307 for our pipelines example so you could select that subject in the "Selected Subjects" section, then do the above to queue just the unprocessed data for 100307 for download. In addition, we do still have the zip packages doe Gradient Distortion Corrected (GDC) and non-GDC data for use in learning the pipelines. These are on AWS S3 in the hcp-openaccess/HCP_Resources/SampleData directory. You can get access to AWS S3 by generating keys (AWS S3 Key Generation button on the HCP-YA 2025 project page in BALSA) and using an S3 browser. We may make a separate BALSA dataset with these example files for convenience but we need to internally discuss what is best. Best, Jenn
