PSA: Expected sunset of the jsonRPC API #123

Description

@frozdbyte

I’m opening this issue to share some info about the long-term outlook for this library and the WebUntis jsonRPC API.

Based on some recent back-and-forth I've had with Untis, they are planning to shut down the current jsonRPC endpoint and replace it with a new system. This is mainly because they want more control over how student data is accessed and aren't happy with the current authentication for security and GDPR reasons.

It's important to keep in mind that the sunset isn't happening right away. I would personally place my prediction somewhere in 2027.
The new API will likely be more restricted and will probably require developers to go through an approval or identification process.

Since the new system will be a major change, I’ve personally stopped development on my own projects that use this API to save myself the work of a massive migration later.

I’m just sharing this so you can keep the possible 2027 timeline in mind when planning your own projects for the long term.
