Linux Build?

Would you consider releasing a Linux build of this DoSA? I tried compiling the code myself, but this project is on Dotnet Framework 4.5.1 which is not Linux compatible. I also tried running it through Wine (a compatibility layer that lets you run Windows programs in Linux) but it was incredibly unstable and kept crashing. This project looks really interesting and I would like to try it. Since you know the most about this code if you could look into releasing a Linux version I would greatly appreciate it.

I also tried to run DoSA-2D on Linux using wine.
FEMM was able to run on Linux using wine, but DoSA-2D was not able to run on Linux because of the .Net Framework.
Unfortunately, I have no plans to create a Linux version of DoSA-2D.
Is there any reason why DoSA-2D should be used on Linux?

Adding a Linux build opens up the software to more people, Linux is also more used in technical industries and server spaces. I completely understand if you don't want to go through the time and effort of making a Linux build though. One thing you might want to consider is upgrading the project from .NET Framework to .NET Core. Currently, Framework 4.5.1 is considered obsolete by Microsoft and won't receive anymore support. .NET Core has more features, stability, and Linux support comes as a nice side effect :). Granted, it is an extreme amount of effort to upgrade project through several generations of .NET, however it's much less than rewriting the project if you want to do it. Microsoft also has a tool to make the process a little easier:

I understood your request about upgrading the Linux version, I think that's a good idea.
And thank you so much for the .NET Core information as well.
It will be difficult in the short term, but I will actively look into Linux support when I upgrade DoSA.
