Are Casimir force functions removed in recent Meep versions? #3228

Description

@xiewenjia2001

Hi developers,
I'm recently trying to compute Casimir forces with Meep, but I found that in the latest versions (e.g., 1.28+ or the current master branch), some Casimir-related functions/options seem to be missing or changed.
Specifically:
In older versions, there were built-in functions like make_casimir_gfunc, casimir_stress_dct_integral, and command-line options for Casimir force calculations.
Now I cannot find these functions in the Python/Scheme API, nor in the command-line tools.
I also noticed that casimir.cpp still exists in the source code, but the high-level interfaces seem to be removed or refactored.
My questions:
1、Were the Casimir force calculation functions officially removed or deprecated in recent Meep versions?
2、If they are still available, what is the recommended way to run Casimir simulations in the latest Meep (Python/Scheme/CLI)?
3、If they were removed, is there a replacement or alternative workflow for Casimir force calculations?
Thank you very much for your clarification!
