TIdSSLIOHandlerSocketOpenSSL stack overflow in Delphi 5

In Delphi 5, when TIdSSLIOHandlerSocketOpenSSL is dropped on a Form designer at design-time, a stack overflow error occurs and the IDE exits. The problem does not occur in later Delphi versions, or when the TIdSSLIOHandlerSocketOpenSSL is created in code at run-time.

It has come to my attention that TIdIOHandlerStack might also be causing a stack overflow error in Delphi 5 at design-time. And TIdSSLIOHandlerSocketOpenSSL does derive from TIdIOHandlerStack. So that may the culprit.

This appears to be related to the TIdIOHandlerSocket.TransparentProxy property getter, which creates a default TIdSocksInfo object if no TransparentProxy has been assigned. This causes issues for the Object Inspector in Delphi 5 only, but not in later versions. Comments in the code say this is needed for "Borland SOAP Support", but I don't know why that is. Users should be able to assign a TransparentProxy only if they really need one, and leave it nil otherwise. Why is SOAP different?
