I feel you, @comradekingu. My first desire was to go with Hosted Weblate but they refused me. So I will stay with Crowdin. But you can put the translations here on GitHub and I will place them on Crowdin for you. 👌

@CrazyMarvin Seems to fit the criteria even for gratis hosting, with the libre plan. You can register your project yourself now, and then ask to have it accepted. There was a huge backlog of projects that applied, maybe this got lost in all that?
Can't contribute without it entering the closed translation memory of Crowdin.
